front desk Dear Patients:

Time seems to have flown by so quickly, and we regret that we've been behind in posting our latest news to the web site. So here's the latest update.

Michelle Paris has determined that parenting Max, her adorable 6-month-old baby boy, is her full-time job for the foreseeable future. She felt completely free to make this decision based on how you, our patients, have taken to Victoria. With your confidence and comfort with Victoria fully expressed by the warm reception you've given to her, Michelle is assured that handing over the management of the practice to Victoria is the best thing for the doctors, the staff, and most importantly for you, the patients, of Conscious Chiropractic & Acupuncture.

Victoria is excited about this new adventure. She's dedicated to continuing to give the highest caliber of care to her patients, and to introducing as many people as possible to the benefits of chiropractic care. Victoria is assuming responsibility for all aspects of the CCA office with equal dedication to creating a great practice that will server our clients with the highest levels of expertise, professionalism, thoroughness, and discretion. We've all experienced her outstanding techniques, and reaped the immediate benefits of her amazing adjustments. We know she will bring the same high standards to running the business of Conscious Chiropractic as she exhibits in treating the patients.

Meanwhile, our other practitioners remain in place, Erika Jensen, LAc., is available for acupuncture treatment on Tuesday and Thursdays. Erica uses her skills in holistic medical traditions to address primary health issues and provide wellness care. She has a special interest in treating patients with muscular and skeletal conditions and also focuses her practice on women's health concerns, including fertility, PMS, and menopause.

Johanna Abate, our homeopathic practitioner, is available for consultations on Fridays. Homeopathy is a system of cure which has been used throughout the world for over 200 years. Because homeopathy is a holistic discipline, in which symptoms are regarded as an expression of disharmony or dis-ease within the whole person, it is the whole person who needs treatment, not just the disease. Johanna trained for 5 years at the Institute of Classical Homeopathy and Free Clinic in San Francisco. She maintains a general practice, treating infants to seniors, and has special expertise in recovery issues.

Often referred to as bodywork or somatic therapy, massage therapy refers to the application of various techniques to the muscular structure and soft tissues of the body. It consists of a group of manual techniques that include applying fixed or movable pressure, holding, and/or causing movement of or to the body, using primarily the hands. These techniques have a beneficial effect on the musculoskeletal, circulatory-lymphatic, nervous, and other systems of the body. The goal of massage therapy is fairly straightforward: to positively affect the health and well being of the client. We are certain that you will attain these benefits under the skillful hands of our 6 amazing practitioners: Angela Westlove, Bernhard Bessemir, Jennifer Rubenstein, Maureen Dooley, Mia Gutfreud, and Sufian Abushukheidem. Not only can you enjoy, but you can share the joy with your family and friends by purchasing a MASSAGE GIFT CERTIFICATE, available in custom denominations at the front desk.

As always, all of us at CCA look forward to serving all your health & wellness needs to the best of our ability. Please let us know how we can continue to provide exemplary service to you!
