Dear Patients:
2006 has now come and gone and we apologize for the huge delay updating the website! Things have been busy, busy and we are excited to share all the current developments at Conscious Chiropractic:
Victoria is continually demonstrating her passion and dedication toward providing excellent care to our patients. She is enthusiastic and optimistic about the few changes that have happened over the course of the last year.
We would like to warmly welcome are second chiropractor, Gene Plotkin, DC, who has now been with our practice since May 2006. Gene Plotkin graduated from Life Chiropractic College West. He is extremely enthusiastic about delivering chiropractic care to the local community – He recently returned from a week long trip to El Salvador where he provided free chiropractic care to a village of underserved locals. He adopts a holistic approach toward improving the functions of the nervous system by adjusting the full spine. Dr. Plotkin utilizes motion palpation, drop table, and activator techniques.
Meanwhile, there are some new developments with our other practitioners. Michelle Graves, L.Ac. has expanded her hours to include Tuesdays, Thursdays, Friday afternoons, and Saturdays. She is currently volunteering at the Charlotte Maxwell Complimentary Clinic and has recently returned from a conference in Vancouver on fertility.
Johanna Abate, our homeopathic practitioner, is still currently practicing here in San Francisco. We continue to refer any patients interested in homeopathic medicine to her and wish her the best of luck with her independent practice.
Often referred to as bodywork or somatic therapy, massage therapy refers to the application of various techniques to the muscular structure and soft tissues of the body. It consists of a group of manual techniques that include applying fixed or movable pressure, holding, and/or causing movement of or to the body, using primarily the hands. These techniques have a beneficial effect on the musculoskeletal, circulatory-lymphatic, nervous, and other systems of the body. The goal of massage therapy is fairly straightforward: to positively affect the health and well-being of the client. We are certain that you will attain these benefits under the skillful hands of our 6 amazing practitioners Angela Westlove, Bernhard Bessemir, Jennifer Rubenstein, Maureen Dooley, Mia Gutfreud, and Sufian Abushukheidem. You can share the joy of massage therapy with your family and friends by purchasing a MASSAGE GIFT CERTIFICATE, available in custom denominations at the front desk. Please be sure to look at the Pricing and Packages page as there have been some changes.
