Another reason to ditch that low-carb diet

If you need another reason (besides your heart) to ditch your low-carb diet for good, here's on more: You're more likely to stay lighter by focusing on eating less fat than by cutting carbohydrates. Researchers from the National Weight Control Registry at the University of Colorado in Denver and Brown University studied the diets of 2,702 people, most of them women, to see whether either a low-carb or low-fat type of diet made a difference in the amount of weight lost and then regained a year later. They found that losers - no matter how they shed pounds to begin with - regained most of the weight within a year if they increased their calories from fat.
