Waiting to have kids can give you an advantage
Good things come to women who wait: Putting off pregnancy may cut the risk of ovarian cancer. A new study from the University of Southern California found that women who have a child after age 35 are only 58 percent as likely to get ovarian cancer as women who never have a child (having children younger lowers the risk, too, but not as much). The surge of progesterone in pregnancy likely stops precancerous cells in their tracks, the researchers say.
